Prime Minister Andrew Holness has commended Professor Mark Harris of Northern Caribbean University (NCU) on research findings which point to the possible use of red dirt from the bauxite extraction process to produce cement, which can then be used to build roads. This is among the research findings contained in a recent publication authored by Harris, Professor of Applied Climatology and Environmental Chemistry at NCU. Professor Harris presented a copy of the book to the Prime Minister during a courtesy call on February 21 led by University President, Dr Lincoln Edwards. NCU Assistant Professor, Dwight Rose, who is a contributor in the book, was also a member of the NCU delegation.
