Jamaica Union Elects New Executive Secretary and Vice President

At a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Jamaica Union Conference held on Sunday, September 4, 2022, Pastor Levi Johnson, who serves as Vice President of the Union was elected to serve as Executive Secretary.

Subsequent to the appointment of Pastor Johnson, Pastor Joseph Smith who serves as Ministerial Secretary and Assistant to the President for Evangelism and Leadership was elected to serve as the new vice president.

The position of Executive Secretary became vacant when Pastor Meric Walker, who served as Executive Secretary of the Union accepted the call to serve as president of the Church’s eastern region in June 2022.

The meeting, which was held at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Kencot, was chaired by the president of Jamaica Union Conference, Pastor Everett Brown and overseen by the Executive Secretary of the Inter-American Division of Seventh-day Adventists, Pastor Leonard Johnson.
