Chosen to Proclaim: A Celebration of Commitment

From March 23 to 26, 2025, in the picturesque paradise of Panama, the Inter-American Division Publishing-LE Advisory-Congress convened under the inspiring theme: “Chosen to Proclaim His Return to the World.” This event was a vibrant tapestry of faith, fellowship, and fervor, uniting publishing ministries coordinators, literature evangelists, publishing ministries directors, and administrators from across the region who are passionate about their vital mission of evangelism.

The congress opened with an uplifting service that set the stage for a powerful gathering. Delegates from various unions across the Inter-American Division shared their compelling reports from 2024, showcasing the remarkable results of their tireless efforts. However, the spirited representatives from Jamaica stole the spotlight, marching in with energized strength and harmonizing their voices in a heartfelt rendition of “We Are Marching in the Light of God.” The song’s rhythm and vibrant movements resonated throughout the hall, filling hearts with hope and unity.

Pastor Everett Brown greeted the audience with vibrant enthusiasm. He introduced Pastor Dudley Hosin, the Publishing Ministries Director of the Jamaica Union Conference (JAMU), creating a memorable atmosphere.

Pastor Hosin radiated enthusiasm as he greeted the audience, his voice booming with confidence. The Jamaican delegates rallied behind him, echoing the powerful chant, “With Christ, We are Champions!” Together, they celebrated the achievements of their Literature Evangelists, who led over 600 souls to Christ in the past year, marking Jamaica as the leading country in the Inter-American Division for Literature Evangelists baptisms.

Angella Brown from the West Jamaica Conference stood out. She was celebrated as the top Literature Evangelist in the Inter-American Division. With the highest purchases from the IADPA Bookstore, she was truly a champion! Her commitment filled her heart with joy, and she led 86 souls to the waters of baptism, earning her a proud third place in baptisms across the division. “To God be the glory, great things He has done,” echoed through the hall.

Venus Wallen, representing the East Jamaica Conference, also made waves as the third-place Literature Evangelist in purchases within the division. Her commitment and contributions further highlighted the collective strength of the Jamaican team, demonstrating that together, they could create a significant impact difference.

 The three-day event was more than just a gathering; it was a profound presence of purpose. Literature Evangelists, Publishing Directors, Administrators, and church members engaged in enriching workshops and inspiring discussions, each session designed to motivate and mobilize the attendees to achieve even greater heights in the year ahead. These dedicated individuals left with renewed vigor, ready to fulfill the Great Commission outlined in Matthew 24:14.

As the congress drew to a close, a sacred consecration service was held, serving as a poignant reminder of each worker’s commitment to the Literature Ministry. Hearts were lifted in prayer, igniting a shared mission to proclaim Christ’s return to the world.

In the end, the Inter-American Division Publishing-LE Advisory-Congress was not just an event but a celebration of faith, a call to action, and a powerful reminder that together, under the banner of Christ, they are indeed champions. The echoes of “We are Marching in the Light of God” lingered long after the final service, serving as a testament to the unity and determination of all who participated.

As delegates departed, they carried with them the promise of a brighter future, fueled by the inspiring stories and successes shared in Panama. The road ahead was clear: they were chosen to proclaim His return, and with each step forward, they would illuminate the way for others to follow.

They were selected to share the light of Christ, spreading the message of hope and salvation to every corner of the world. They understood that with Christ, they were indeed champions- champions of love, champions of faith, and champions of His return.
