The ministry of Jesus Christ to the poor was enhanced in East Jamaica Conference (EJC) on August 11, 2015 when Emmanuel Ministries from Florida, presented an industrial stove to the Conference to assist with the preparation of meals for the poor and needy in Kingston & St. Andrew. The stove will be installed in the kitchen used by the Community Services department at the Conference, to prepare meals served at the Good Samaritan Inn (GSI).
The stove, which was custom built by Servewell Jamaica, was presented by Bro. and Sis. Nadine Miller of Emmanuel Ministries from the Port Charlotte SDA Church in Florida. The Millers were supported by Administrative & Spanish Ministries pastor of the Port Charles SDA Church, Pastor Art Graham and his wife Prudence.

They were supported by Pastor Carl Cunningham, Director of the Sabbath School, Personal Ministries and Community Services department as well as Elder Waldon Wright, Director of Health, Stewardship and Wills &Trust Services Departments and Elder Vermont Murray, Manager of the GSI.
