Seventh-day Adventist school performs well in CSEC St Ann's Bay High and Prep students spark

ST ANN’S BAY, St Ann:

With 2016 Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) results showing a decline over the previous year, the Seventh-day Adventist owned St Ann’s Bay High and Preparatory schools are celebrating the success of its students in the 2016 exams, with above average results.

“Based on the preparations of the teachers, coupled with the quality performance of the students in the screen tests given, I was confident they would have given their best, which would result in a good performance and those expectations were met,” said a happy principal, Rachel Pyne.

The good performance was reflected in the fact that the institution recorded 100 per cent passes in seven subjects – agriculture science, Caribbean history, food and nutrition, home management, English Literature, office administration and principles of business.

There was an 89 per cent pass for English Language and 60 for mathematics, accounts and chemistry also had impressive passes, both being at 80 per cent.
