A partnership forged between the US-based, House of Blessing Lifestyle Centre and the Central Jamaica Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, resulted in a ground breaking ceremony for the construction of a 20-room Five Star Lifestyle Centre on the grounds of the Adventist-owned site at Camp Verley in Spring Gardens, St. Catherine on December 22, 2016.
The Memorandum of Understanding between both organisations was signed earlier in 2016. The House of Blessing Lifestyle Centre is co-owned by Venice Henry, an Oncological Nurse and Sharon King, a Psychologist.
According to the House of Blessing Lifestyle Centre website, “our goal is to combine healthy living and a fun-filled vacation getaway into one attractive package.” While offering regular hotel accommodation, guests at the Lifestyle Centre are expected to be integrated into a full health-focused program that includes interactive cooking workshops, fun-filled activities, treatment and therapy, hydrotherapy, vegetarian/plant-based menus, exercise/weight-loss programs, delicious entrees and much more.
