The third convention in East Jamaica Conference in as many weeks received overwhelming support from church members in zones 2 & 3 who gathered for worship, prayer and praise on January 28, 2017 at the Hagley Park SDA Church.
Speaker for the divine hour was president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Jamaica, Pastor Everett Brown, who reminded the church that they were at the Convention to worship God.
“Here at Convention, it is more than a time of reporting and celebrating what God has done for us as we seek to do mission. We have come into the very presence of God and we have come to worship God,” said Pastor Brown.
Brown spoke on the topic “Transformation for Mission” and was effective in presenting the Word of God with clarity and power. His words conveyed the urgency of the time as he charged members to be ready for the coming of the Lord.
