More than ninety communicators from forty six churches in East Jamaica Conference participated in the 2017 Communication Retreat which saw communicators participating in practical hands on training to do live video streaming in preparation for a massive Conference wide evangelistic campaign set to begin in June later this year.
This was the second Communication Retreat for the quadrennium and was held under the theme ‘Transformed to Proclaim’ at the Golden Acres Resort in Golden Spring during the period March 3- 5, 2017. The message for the Divine hour was shared by Pastor Damian Chambers, Communication and Health Director in Central Jamaica Conference.
From the opening night on Friday March 3, 2017, Secretary of the Conference Pastor Linton Williams, told the group that the retreat was significant as one of the areas targeted for training over the week-end would be critical for the success of a major evangelistic campaign to be held later this year.
Williams disclosed that groundwork had already started for an ambitious Conference wide evangelistic campaign in June, which would see the Conference extending its reach across the constituency and maximizing its use of scarce resources to reach thousands through the use of technology.
