Andrews Memorial Hospital administrators, workers, medical practitioners and church leaders gathered for the hospital’s 75th Anniversary Thanks Giving Service at the Andrews Memorial Seventh-day Adventist Church in Kingston on March 16, 2019.

Governor General, His Excellency the Most Honorable Sir Patrick Allen in bringing greetings to the hospital fraternity and church members, commended the Andrews Memorial Hospital board for continuing the tradition that was established to keep the hospital as a place where holistic health is provided.
“The high standard of service that you have maintained over the years cannot be disputed,” the Governor General said as he congratulated the hospital staff for growing the hospital physically, aesthetically.
Pastor Adrian Cotterell, Director – Sabbath School, Personal Ministries, and Community Services Department at Jamaica (JAMU) was the guest speaker for the divine service and chose “A Christ-like Center of Excellence” as the title for his message.
The former East Jamaica Conference president declared early in his sermon that God wants all of us to excel, therefore he desires for Andrews Hospital that represents the healing ministry of Christ, to be a center of excellence
According to Cotterell, over the last few years, the hospital has experienced steady growth, moving from just under 30 beds to over 60 beds. The operating rooms have been increased from one to four while the diagnostic center has tripled in size. Laboratory facilities at the hospital has been improved to a point where Andrews hospital is presently offering one of the best services of its kind in Jamaica.
“From a tiny treatment room to one of the top notch health care institutions in this country, the Andrews Memorial hospital is now offering some services that are not offered anywhere else in Jamaica,” said Cotterell during his sermon presentation.
Chairman of the Andrews Memorial Hospital, Pastor Everett Brown lauded the hospital workers for fulfilling the healing ministry of Christ through their efforts.

I was visiting from New York on March 16,2019 I was so excited to go to church that morning. To my dissapointment and surprise I was not greeted at all not one happy Sabbath in the 2 hours that I was there. I am sure my appearence was not the issue, We are ALL Gods children and we should definately practice and live what we preach. The only thing I know I was there to praise the Lord which I did. I was also happy that my friend who is not a SDA did not come to experience the Lack of love which I had.
