Adventist Surgeon motivates School Students to be Extraordinary

Consultant pediatric cardiothoracic surgeon at the Bustamente Hospital for Children, Dr. Sherrard Little, told students at the Kingsway High School (KWHS) Honours Convocation on October 31, 2016, that they can be anything they want to be if they aim to be extraordinary.

Speaking under the theme “Attaining the Extraordinary”, Dr. Little told students, teachers and parents that twenty five years ago when he was a student at KWHS, he was faced with challenges, but his aspiration to become a medical missionary propelled him to do well despite the odds.

“As a child, I told my parents that I wanted to be a medical missionary. Over the week-end, I just completed my eighth trip to Africa which was my seventh trip to Ethiopia but this didn’t just happened by chance. It is because I had this as my vision why I am where I am today,” he told the students.
