Mandeville, Jamaica…Nigel Coke
Vice President and Administrative Field Secretary of the Inter-American Division of Seventh-day Adventists (IAD), Dr. Balvin Braham, was hailed as a leader extraordinaire by the Jamaica Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists during its Year-end Meetings on November 29 & 30, 2022, held at the Union’s Headquarters in Mandeville, Jamaica.
In a citation, which was ably read to him by Mrs. Lisa Marie Samuels, Human Resource Manager, JAMU, Braham was recognized for his creative and innovative prowess as he spearheaded Pentecost and More, Passionate Disciples, Lord Transform Me, Segment Leadership Conference (SeLD), Human Resource Management, Strategic Planning, I Will Go, and the IAD Centennial Celebrations.
“You are an inspiration to all of us who have been blessed to have had the pleasure to work closely with you. We are grateful to God for your leadership and your training skills; and we are grateful to you for sharing them with us,” said Mrs. Samuels.
“As an integral part of the Inter-American Division, the Jamaica Union is advanced because of your resourcefulness, and your enthusiasm in sharing your knowledge with us. You possess the gift of envisioning things that never were and ask, “Why not?”, and you do not stop at just asking; you follow through to get them done.”
Braham, who was called to serve at the IAD in 2005, served as Associate Youth Ministries Director after which he served as Special Assistant to the President with responsibility for Evangelism and Leadership, Administrative Field Secretary and Director of Human Resource.
In addition to the Citation, Dr. Braham was present with a plaque and was given a weekend for two at one of Jamaica’s hotels on the North Coast.
