JAMU host Second (First Quinqennial) Session

The Jamaica Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists will host its Second (First Quenquennial) Session at the Mandeville Seventh-day Adventist Church in Manchester from December 1-3, 2015.
The theme for the Session is “Reaching Forward with Christ”
Registration for all delegates will begin at 12:00 noon and will continue until 4:00 p.m.

The Opening Ceremony of the Session will start at 6:00 pm with the first business session commencing at 8:00 p.m.
“The Governance structure of the SDA provides for the opportunity of the constituency to participate at the highest level at a constituency meeting,” said Pastor Everett Brown, current president of the Adventist Church in Jamaica. “We are pleased as Officers of the Jamaica Union to be convening our first quinquennial session. We pray that the Spirit of Christ will characterize everything that we do during the Session, and at the end, those placed in leadership will receive the support from the constituency as together we continue to work for the advancement of the mission of Jesus Christ.”
The Union Conference Session is called to:

1. Receive reports from the officers and various departments.
2. Elect administrators and departmental directors to serve for the ensuing five year term.
3. Consider revisions and changes in the Union Conference’s Constitution and By-laws.
4. Transact such other business as may be properly placed before the delegates.
