The Jamaica Union in collaboration with East Jamaica Conference Sabbath School & Personal Ministries Department held its annual Lay Evangelism Summit on Sunday September 18, 2016 at the Hagley Park SDA Church. There Lay Leaders, Pastors and Lay Evangelists came together to sharpen their skills, receive updates and pray.

Lay preachers, elders, Sabbath School superintendents and leaders of the Lord Transform Me (LTM) initiative were invited to hear from Pastor Adrian Cotterell, Director of Sabbath School, Personal Ministries & Adventist Community Services at Jamaica Union Conference, who addressed the church leaders on the topic ‘Transforming the Sabbath School for Christ.”

Cotterell made an impactful presentation to the lay leaders and highlighted the importance of the Sabbath School to the viability of the church.  He also disclosed that 2017 has been designated the ‘The Year of Proclamation’ and encouraged everyone to do something for Christ.

“Whatever you can do for the Lord in any form of evangelistic outreach do it. 2017 will be the year of proclamation and it requires every church and every member to be involved.”
