North Jamaica Conference Elects Administrative Officers and Departmental Directors

Delegates at the fourth quadrennial session of the North Jamaica Conference of Seventh-day Adventists elected administrative officers and departmental directors to serve for the upcoming term during proceedings held on April 21, 2026, in Duncans, Trelawny.

The elections complete the leadership team that will serve alongside newly elected president, Pastor Jermaine Johnson.

Pastor Carlington Hylton was elected executive secretary, while Pastor Onyeka Nevins was elected treasurer. Together with the president, these officers form the administration of the conference, providing strategic and operational leadership.

Delegates also elected directors to oversee key ministry areas across the conference.

Pastor Daniel Miller will serve as Ministerial Secretary and Stewardship director. Elder Christine Shand was elected to lead Women’s, Children’s, and Adolescents’ Ministries, while Pastor Dermar Watson will oversee Communication and Health Ministries.

Pastor Ricardo McCalla was elected Publishing Ministries director, Pastor Wayne Woolery will serve as Sabbath School and Personal Ministries director, and Pastor Amiel Summerbell will lead Family and Youth Ministries.

The elections were part of the conference’s quadrennial session, a constituency meeting where delegates review the work of the past term and make decisions regarding leadership and the future direction of the church’s mission.

The North Jamaica Conference is an administrative unit of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Jamaica, overseeing 74 churches and serving approximately 22,736 members across the parishes of St. Ann and Trelawny.
