“Stop being religious practitioners,” says Kwon. Adventists urged to make a difference in their communities

Scores of colporteurs were spiritually revived and encouraged to be champions in their work for the lord at the recent Jamaica Union Conference (JAMU), Publishing Ministries Colporteurs Retreat and Training Institute.  The week-long event was hosted under the theme “Transformed to Serve.”

The programme began on March 12 with two days retreat at the Sea Gardens Hotel, catering for Colporteurs who have done exceptionally well in their field.  The retreat, which was of a spiritual nature, saw individuals praying at 6 am, 12 noon and 6 pm for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in their lives.

In giving the charge for the opening night, Publishing Director of North Jamaica Conference, Pastor Omri Davis, told the colporteurs that reading the entire book of Romans will and can transform their life.   The studying and reviewing of the book “Colporteurs Ministries” was also done and according to Publishing Ministries Director for JAMU, Pastor Dudley Hosin, “next to the Bible, Colporteurs Ministries is the second most important book in the life of the Colporteur.”

to die for Jesus?” The group also heard testimonies from Pastors Orane Wint and Delroy Codner, two Colporteurs who are now Ministers of the gospel.  Pastor Codner also gave a brief presentation on seven types of Sales people.
