Thirteen Baptized in the First Week of Westmoreland Youth Federation Evangelistic Campaign

Heaven rejoiced as thirteen candidates from varying socio- economic backgrounds and age groups surrendered their hearts to the Lord through baptism during the Hope for the World Gospel Series and Youth Empowerment Programme, held in Hertford Square in the Parish of Westmoreland. The baptism took place at the Fort Williams River on Sabbath July 14, 2018, among several jubilant witnesses, many of whom were relatives and friends of the candidates.

The Series which is hosted by the Westmoreland Youth Federation in conjunction with the Petersfield District of Seventh-day Adventist Churches has seen a steady attendance of approximately five hundred visitors, coupled with energized church members nightly and approximately eight hundred individuals on Sabbaths.

Evangelist for the series, Pastor Everett Taylor, expressed his delight in seeing the Youth of Westmoreland spearhead this timely evangelistic thrust, resulting in thirteen persons being baptized.

“I am happy to see the many young people coming out to the campaign,” he said. “I am especially delighted with the fact that it is planned by the Parish Youth Federation. It indeed was a joy to see those who decided to surrender” said the dynamic evangelist.
