Two grade 5 students of the Seventh-day Adventist owned Kingsway Preparatory School in St. Andrew answered the call to give their lives to Jesus during the penultimate day of the institution’s annual week of prayer.

Tianna Barnett and Carla Burge who were among several who signed up for baptism, were first to enter the baptismal pool with Kencot Church’s Pastor, Adrian Johnson, as they indicated their intention to serve and live for Jesus Christ, whom they sat and listened to stories about during the solemn event.

Other students have indicated their willingness to follow in their footsteps, but are awaiting approval.

School Principal, Jaron Whitely, was elated by the move of the students to give their hearts to the Lord. According to him, “it’s wonderful when you are serving the Lord, he fills you with his peace and no matter what happens, you know that God is on your side. So today we give God thanks for these two beautiful children.”
